When measuring your roof, our estimates take a few factors into account, including the length and width of your home, the rise of the roof (distance from the edge of your roof to the peak), the run of the roof (distance from the peak of your roof to the edge), and the pitch (the angle at which your roof slopes). There’s no need to be intimidated by the process of measuring your roof. We provide a free, no-obligation estimate for your property. When you get a roofing estimate, it should include everything you need to know to make an informed decision. It should include all associated costs, like materials, labor (including removal of old materials), and any add-ons such as gutters, skylights, or fascia. It should also include a warranty that covers the workmanship and materials used. If you’re getting multiple estimates, be sure to compare them apples to apples so you’re comparing the same scope of work.
Labor is included in your quote. A roof replacement also includes a full tear-out of the existing shingles and replacement of those shingles. Plywood deck replacement is not included in a quote unless you’ve chosen that option ahead of time.

In addition to roof replacements, we also provide siding and window replacements, as well as skylight, gutter, and downspout installation. Please note that our windows, siding, and specialty roofing services are currently only available in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. However, we proudly offer GAF asphalt roofing installations nationwide. Project duration is dependent on home size and the amount of renovation being done. Most homeowners can expect a straight roof replacement to be completed in about one to three working days, and a siding replacement in seven to ten working days. Jobsite hours are approximately 8 AM to 6 PM, contingent on weather, daylight available, client preferences, local noise ordinances, etc.
Permit requirements can vary by state and local jurisdictions. Regardless of the region, our team is knowledgeable about the various permit specifics for asphalt roofing across the nation. To ensure a seamless experience, we handle the process of securing all necessary permits for your project. If permits are required, we’ll also provide a receipt for reimbursement. Rest assured, we’re committed to making our collaboration as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.
Before the job starts, a project manager will contact you to schedule an introductory meeting. They will be your point of contact throughout the project and will update you on scheduling, start times, and any possible delays due to securing permits or inclement weather.
Keeping your property clean and safe is a priority. We use tarps, plywood barriers, and conscientious application of materials to shield your home and yard from debris. We are always prepared for bad weather, so we keep everything watertight. And an average roof will require 8,000 nails, so we do our best to remove the strays, including a meticulous magnet-sweep of your property at the end. We’ll also have a dumpster on-site. Though it will essentially be full by the end of the project, feel free to throw in the odd empty box you’ve been meaning to dispose of.
Due to the nature of the job (heavy materials, heavy lifting, hammers, nails, etc.), it certainly can be. We do our best to minimize the noise as much as possible and can work on adjusting the schedule if certain quiet times are needed around the house. As a precaution, we do recommend taking down anything you wouldn’t want to potentially fall off the interior walls.
Your project manager and crew (typically three to six people) will be on-site working hand-in-hand. The size of the team is dependent on the size of the house and potential deadlines.
